The Mobile Payment Forum's broad industry cooperation allows the Forum to create a framework for standardized, secure and authenticated mobile payments, while allowing for a choice of appropriate protocols and payment solutions.
The work of the Forum is focused on standardizing specific areas of
mobile payments related to the set-up, initiation, authentication, and
completion of a secure payment transaction. Structured to deliver results,
the Forum's technical working groups have been organized along the
functional lines associated with the mobile payment process. All current and
future activities are assigned to one of the following working groups:
